Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actress, best known for her film roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. She began her acting career in theater and later appeared in a number of TV shows and independent as well as mainstream movies. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The series both received critical acclaim, but she also took home a variety of accolades. In 1995 she made her acting debut on stage in The Tempest as Ariel. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway production of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her role in the series Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
