Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 - - January 19th, 2008) was an American theatre, film, television, and voice actress. Pleshette started her stage career and was featured in films in the late 1950s. In later years, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Then, she was in many television productions and was frequently as a guest actor. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show, from 1972 until 1978, where she received many Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and the children of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was a stage director at both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
